SPILL THE TEA @ 10:30am

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon at Spill the Tea, where the world of words comes alive on February 22 at the library. This unique gathering of 10-15 local authors offers you an intimate space to explore their literary creations, engage in lively conversations, and discover the stories that inspire them. As you sip tea and enjoy light refreshments, prepare to be captivated by each author’s personal insights as they take the stage for a brief presentation, sharing the behind-the-scenes magic of their work. It’s a perfect opportunity for book lovers to connect, support local talent, and deepen their appreciation for the literary arts in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Post Event Reflection

What an incredible experience it was to be a featured author at this year’s Spill The Tea Author Event at Chapin Library in Myrtle Beach, SC and share my memoir “Back Home Again! I’m still buzzing from all the amazing conversations, insightful discussions, and, of course, the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful readers and fellow authors.”

Being surrounded by so many talented writers and readers was truly inspiring. From the author presentations to the intimate one-on-one conversations with attendees, I felt connected to the literary community. One of my favorite moments was a conversation with one of the attendees asking me to please put together and lead an event at the library to discuss how individuals who were in caretaker roles were dealing with all of the challenges. It is a moment like this that reminds me of why I wrote this book. It is so rewarding to meet people who connect to your work, and the feedback I received has sparked new ideas for my future projects.

I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Chapin Library for hosting such a wonderful event. The team did an amazing job organizing everything, and the whole event ran so smoothly. Their commitment to fostering a community of writers and readers truly shined through.
